Diana Otteson is a life long resident of Fredericton, except for a brief stint on P.E.I. in the early 1980’s. She grew up in a family of general contractors who played an active role in the construction and real estate industry in Fredericton. Her father, Calvin Thompson, and uncle, John W. Mahar, were the founders of Topmar Housing & Construction. Partnered with Joe Chippin, they built many of the original homes in Southwood Park on McNair Drive, Richard’s Court, Limerick Road and Hearne Street. Her first job was cleaning those houses with her cousin once construction was complete.

Diana worked with Ross Ventures for seven years in a variety of roles, from managing Roxy’s Roller Rink to Executive Assistant to Property Manager. In 1990, she was hired by CitiGroup Properties Limited to manage Frederick Square and is now Senior Property Manager in their Fredericton office.

In 2010, Diana became the founding broker of River Island Realty, a local boutique real estate firm. She is Past President and Board member of Downtown Fredericton Inc., Fredericton's Business Improvement Association governing body. Currently Diana is Past-President of the Fredericton Real Estate Board, having also served as President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer and Director.  She is also a Director on the New Brunswick Real Association Board and a member of the City of Fredericton Affordable Housing Committee.

Diana is married to John and has two grown children, Amy and Zachary.
